Rodger Hutchison | Hi’ First of all... I do not want to receive any phone calls until a clear introduction is established and an acquaintance of my conditions and needs are understood.
I am a stroke survivor from 2013. I’ve had a craniotomy in Acadia plasty. I have had various physical therapy. As a result of the first stroke in the secondary infection 2/3 of my right cerebellum is dead. However, since my stroke I have a strong desire to Draw closer to God. In fact, I promised him I would do so when I realized he had favored me to live. I have been studying scriptures and the more that I study the more I desire to know the Arabic and Hebrew language. I also have some beginning background in Greek. It would you like me so much to know these three languages well enough to read the Bible in the original languages through and through. I realize that my brain makes things structured a certain way. I have actually always liked Learning step by step. I’ve memorized the Hebrew continents and not yet the vowel sounds and symbols. Nevertheless I desire to do so as I am not ready for contemporary Hebrew I only want to learn biblical Hebrew in its original form, and I want to learn the nikkodot vowel system really well; before I get into learning much vocabulary. My brain is in good shap over all, However I learn best when I hear what I am reading as I follow along. So, Coaching is attractive to me. My budget is limited as I am on restricted ability to earn income due to Social Security Disability allowances and regulations. My wife is also disabled.
I have about a half semester experience in Greek. I have;
William D. MOUNCE Basics of Biblical Greek textbook and workbook
and the box of Greek flash cards.
Miles and PRATICO Basics of Biblical Hebrew textbook
Biblical Hebrew Step by Step Monsoor Volume 1& 2 paperback textbooks
I have other resources in ebook format
I even have some William D. Barrick Hebrew video lessons saved to my email.
Nevertheless, I have a feeling it would be good and possibly more efficient to learn Aramaic first before I turn to get deeper into Hebrew. I am only working 2 days a week so, I am trying to arrange a system of dedicated study disrupted only by my wife’s distractions, care of our infant grandchildren, and Dr. and therapy appointments for my ongoing recovery,
My conditions
Left hemiperis,(left-sided weakness)
Left he is posit. (left eye vision field cut). mostly left peripheral loss.
So, my left sided weaknesses make it difficult to coordinate the handling and reading books. Nonetheless. my right sided strengths allow me to use my iPhone and iPad preferentially. It will also allow me to adapt well to right to left reading as opposed to left to right. My left eye vision cut causes me to not see the first word in English sentences.
Well, that is enough of me at this point!
I need to know your perspectives in response to these conditions as it relates to learning Aramaic and what kind of fees I need to consider.
Please feel free to text me a notice that you have answered this message or sent me an email so I will not miss a response.

Usman Sheikh | Hi,
I wish to learn Syriac, Serto, and wanted to know if you can offer this and, if so, how much do you charge for this.
I know the letters, have practiced reading/writing. I have also memorised the detached pronouns, the demonstrative and interrogative pronouns, along with memorising the conjugation of the perfect tense verbs, as well as the imperfect, and the attached pronouns.
I wish to proceed beyond this and reach a level where o can read and translate texts into English.
Please inform me if you can help me with this. I would like to request 2 hours per week and need to reach at least an intermediate level.
Regards
Usman |

Lindsey Barrett | I grew up in a Christian household, went to Christian HS, and have gone to church most of my life. So throughout my life I've understood and have tried to put into practice what Christ taught us to do, but I always fell short. My pride/ego has been the thorn/plank in my eyes for 33 years as I tried because I knew it was right but kept failing, because I was still trying to do it myself and not relying on God. I got to a really low point in my life thinking nothing was worth it, and it was actually feedback about how I was conducting myself at work that thankfully opened my heart and I truly believe that God has gifted me with the Holy Spirit! I'm so humbled because I know even though I've heard the lessons before, it's only now that I truly understand His message, His purpose, why we were created, and what we are meant for. I've recognized that Aramaic is an important aspect of Jesus' teaching and I want to continue my study/understanding of His Word. I will warn you, that I have always been really terrible at learning languages.... I've tried to learn French, Latin, some German, Spanish, Mandarin, and unfortunately in the past it's never stuck. I have never been able to catch on with another language, but I know deeply that I need to learn a way to be successful so that I can read the Word in His eyes. Eventually, I do also want to learn Hebrew/Biblical Greek, but I feel like Aramaic is definitely where I need to start. I'm hoping to talk with you to figure out what my next steps should be as I'm definitely interested in the coaching program, but am not sure what it will look like for me and seek your guidance! Thank you for offering this to others :) |
Maryam | Hi! First off, I'm so happy I came across your page seeing as Aramaic is a dying language and not many people offer lessons. I actually can speak Aramaic pretty well enough to be able to keep a conversation going. But I'd love to learn more seeing as there are some words that I don't know and will have to incorporate some English into my sentences. |
Theo | I would like to thoroughly learn/read Hebrew and Aramaic. How long is a session? What would I need to do to thoroughly read and understand Hebrew and Aramaic? |
Michael Murphy | Hi I tried this once before but do too well which is why I'm looking into private lessons . Can you tell me what the lessons cost . I also use to play the bagpipes but for medical reasons had to give them up . Thanks for your time .

Stephanie Seidel | Hello,
I have just recently discovered your website as part of a new chapter in my life devoted to The Aramaic Jesus. I am working on several projects to this end. We share many of the same goals and I really enjoyed the e-book, Jesus Spoke Aramaic. I need targeted Aramaic and Hebrew language training. My goal is to write about Jesus' Aramaic roots, healing ministry and create worship music. I would also be interested in learning biblical Hebrew, particularly of the Torah, relevant to Jesus' teachings and cosmology. I would like to learn more about the private coaching program.
I look forward to hearing more!
Best,

Diana | I have a desire to learn Aramaic but I'm not sure if I'm skilled enough. |
Tracy | Dear Mr. MacLeod~
My name is Tracy and I have been wanting to learn Aramaic for a few months now. First, I wanted to learn Hebrew, especially since my second fave singer of all time is Ofra Haza. I heard the way she sings in Hebrew and I LONGED to speak it and sing in it like she did! :) Beautiful person and singer, I'm sorry I became a fan only a year after she passed. I watched a documentary on Aramaic on youtube "Is the language of Jesus becoming endangered?" and I fell in LOVE with the way Aramaic is spoken in Maaloula. So, I found on Memrise a lesson that teaches Maaloula Aramaic. I would one day like to be able to go from this Aramaic to Galilaic Aramaic ( the ACTUAL) dialect Jesus spoke AND I believe it's Steve Caruso that has the Website of Galilean Aramaic (AramaicNT.org). He recommends having an "aramaic" course background BEFORE getting into Galilean Aramaic as it's more difficult. So, I've had my mind set on learning the Assyrian Aramaic of Maaloula, then start to get into Galilaic Aramaic ( I bought his book in it "the Three Little Pigs" from Amazon as a motivator) . Then, I still want to learn Hebrew I would like to learn Syriac ( Syriac Aramaic) as well. I would love to one day visit Maaloula and speak in their Aramaic language! I'd love to visit Israel as well. I know Galilean Aramaic is more in the Palestinian region but just to learn the ACTUAL language of Jesus is motivating. :) I'm VERY much into Ancient Languages and I'm looking for Teachers for Ancient Egyptian and Ancient Babylonian. The latter came before Aramaic. I LOVE all these languages and hope to one day sing in them as I'm going to be starting up singing lessons again soon, perhaps the beginning of next year. Steve Caruso also has 2 other books coming out "Elementary Galilean Aramaic" with Exercises in reading and Comprehension and "The Galilean Aramaic Lord's Prayer" and the fate of the language of Christ. I'm looking forward to those. :) I'm on a fixed income so, I look on Memrise or other sites for classes that aren't out of my league to pay for. I just thought I would ask to see what your thoughts were on all this. Would you suggest Study Programs to start? I want to thank you for offering your services to people that REALLY want to learn Aramaic and Hebrew! there are so few teachers. Thanks so much for taking the time to read all of this. I just wanted to give you an overview of where I'd like to go with these languages. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks again! :)
